Training Camps

For years Vidar has developed rowers who compete at an (inter)national level, and with
success! In 2013 we opened our new building and from then onward welcomed other crews to come and train at our facilities. In the past years we have hosted many international clubs from different countries, as well as several national rowing squads.

Vidar offers a secluded rowing center just outside the city of Tilburg. Everything you could need is available on site, allowing you to train without distractions. We boast one of only three official two kilometre tracks in the Netherlands on which five boats can row alongside one another, and the track contains 500 meter markers for timed practices. Crews can row uninterrupted for 15 kilometres on extremely calm water due to the trees that line the banks, as well as the fact that there is hardly any commercial shipping.

The rowing center features a state of the art gym, with sixteen rowing machines, as well as
other fitness equipment. An additional boat house allows you to store your equipment
indoors, and in between practices you can relax in our chill room or have your meal in the
canteen.

Information

• The rowing center has been rated with a B-status by the NOC-NSF (Dutch Olympic committee).
• A bungalow park (The Beekse Bergen) adjacent to the rowing track, at walking distance from Vidar offers your crews nearby accommodation from which you can see the track.
• Possibility to rent boats, launches, bicycles et cetera.
• A cycling track follows the entire stretch of water from which you can coach nicely.
• We are flexible and will take care of everything for you!
