The student rowing association Vidar was founded on the 2nd October in 1961. From day one T.S.R. Vidar strives for collective top performances. Throughout the years, a few Vidraten have reached the Olympic level. The enormous building facilitates the top sport with an extended strength base and a national 2-kilometer competition track. Our building is also very attractive for external parties, as it is a perfect location for training camps, festivals and other events in Tilburg.
Rowing
T.S.R. Vidar is more than just a student association. You practice THE student sport of the Netherlands: rowing. This is possible at different levels. Are you athletic, mentally strong and planning to get the most out of yourself? Then “wedstrijd” (competitive) rowing really is something for you! You will be coached by other students with a lot of top sport experience and by former national coaches. Another option is “competitie” (recreational) rowing, where you learn to row at a recreational level and you will go to the most awesome rowing parties in the Netherlands with your team. Of course, we organize THE most beautiful rowing event as a student association: the HOT, also known as the NOOC! This is the opening tournament of the “competitie” season where all rowing associations from the Netherlands travel to Tilburg.
